A few weeks ago Nordic trolls released the long awaited update to one of my favorite VR dungeon crawlers of all time... Karnage Chronicles. This is one of those games that just feels like I have been playing forever. I remember getting my first early looks at it way back in the Oculus developer kit days and I have to say that it has been awesome to see the game grow into what it has become today. Karnage Chronicles can be played in either single or multiplayer with up to 3 friends or random adventurers from the interwebs. The gameplay in Karnage Chronicles is rock solid and the enemy AI can get challenging at times. It is easy to see all of the attention to detail that Nordic Trolls has put into the game over the years. The gameplay in Karnage Chronicles is rock solid and the enemy AI can get challenging at times. It is easy to see all of the attention to detail that Nordic Trolls has put into the game over the years. Currently there are 3 large areas to explore in the game but in this video we will be taking a short look at the beginning of the new area introduced in update #3. This will be interesting as it is the first time in the game that players are departing the caverns and dungeons to step out into a more open air environment. Now... as the title says, I also have to mention that seeing this game in the recently released Pimax 8KX headset is truly a visual feast for the eyes. The game ran flawlessly at high detail levels even with my 1080ti and in all the years and in all the headsets I have played this game in, I have never seen it look this amazing! The higher resolution and utter lack of any SDE seen in the 8KX really adds to the beauty of the highly polished UE4 graphics of Karnage Chronicles. Overall I love this game and would highly recommend anyone with any VR headset to give this game a look and support Nordic Trolls in their journey towards finishing Karnage Chronicles.
